Charles Theodore "Ted" Andres, 31, of Petersburg died at 12:25 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Andres was born March 30, 1956, in Mattoon, the son of Kenneth L. and Ann Huff Andres. He married the former Elizabeth "Lisa" Hillestad in 1981.

He had been employed by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency since 1983. He was a member of the Missouri White Water Club in St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Clydia Huff, and Theodore K. Andres. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Lisa"; one daughter; his mother, Ann Andres of Springfield; his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Judy N. Andres, also of Springfield; two brothers, J. Kelly and J. Geoffrey Andres, both of Springfield; his grandmother, Helen Andres Wilson of Mattoon; and one uncle.

Services at Cathedral Church of St. Paul, with the Very Rev. Hobart Heistand officiating. Burial in Salisbury Cemetery, Salisbury.
